Next Week is Summer Fun Week! July 28 - August 1

It is time for our annual Summer Fun Week at McKenna Farms and are excited to celebrate with our clients! Throughout the week, therapists will be incorporating themed activities into sessions, including:

- Water-based play (clients may get wet!)
- A fun painting activity
- Other creative, movement-rich stations tailored to therapy goals

Please plan for appropriate clothing that can get messy or wet.

Sumer Fun activities are for clients and therapists only. Unfortunately siblings not able to participate in these activities. Limiting participation to clients and therapists allows us to maintain a safe, structured space for all clients to engage fully in their therapy while enjoying the fun.

We are so thankful for the Rotary Club of Paulding County and their continued support of McKenna Farms Therapy Services. The generosity of their Club and Foundation enable us to expand our services and help our clients with unique and special needs reach their fullest potential.

Earlier this month, we had the honor of attending the Ribbon Cutting for Cups of Hope — a truly inspiring new venture in Paulding County!

Cups of Hope is more than just a coffee shop. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located at McKenna Farms Therapy Services, this program empowers young adults with diverse abilities by helping them develop essential vocational skills in a supportive, therapeutic environment.

Whether you're visiting their shop at McKenna Farms or spotting their Mobile Coffee Trailer out in the community, every cup is brewed with purpose and served with a smile. From customer service and money management to social and executive functioning skills, these young adults are learning, growing, and building brighter futures—one cup at a time.

The Paulding County Rotary Foundation was proud to support this incredible initiative by contributing toward the purchase of the mobile trailer. We can’t wait to see the continued impact Cups of Hope will have in our community. ☀️💙

We’re excited to celebrate the official grand opening and ribbon cutting of our Cups of Hope mobile coffee trailer! This unique project goes beyond serving coffee — it provides therapy, job training, and life skills, empowering our clients to reach their fullest potential.

We are looking forward to taking the trailer into the community, sharing joy (and great coffee!) while spreading awareness about the mission of McKenna Farms Therapy Services.

We would like to thank Rotary Club of Paulding County for the generous grant that made this dream possible, Main Event Parties for the beautiful balloon garland that made the celebration extra special, and the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce - Georgia for continuing to support and promote McKenna Farms!

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of one of our beloved volunteers, Abbey Cooler. We ask you to please join us in keeping Abbey’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

Abbey first joined McKenna Farms in April 2023. Just two weeks ago, she and her daughter returned to volunteer training with a renewed passion to serve. Tragically, Abbey passed away this week from injuries sustained in a car accident. She leaves behind her husband, two daughters, and a legacy of kindness that touched everyone she met.

McKenna Farms is proud to announce Randall Cowart as our new Director of Development!

Randall brings decades of experience in business leadership, regional outreach, and relationship-building to his role. He’s been a partner in family-run businesses in Marietta and Acworth and has deep ties to both Paulding and Cobb Counties.
Randall’s personal connection to our community and passion for making a difference make him a perfect fit for McKenna Farms. According to Randall, “McKenna is a place where understanding and healing meet and I look forward to building meaningful partnerships that help us impact the lives of children and families—now and for generations to come.”

When he’s not at the farm, you can find him cheering on the Crimson Tide, playing tennis and pickleball, or scalloping in the Gulf.

One of our favorite parts of summer is that we are able to open up the Farm for Saddle Up Camp! From riding lessons to sensory activities, crafts, games, and barn fun, our campers are learning, growing, and making unforgettable memories every single day. Saddle Up Camp offers a supportive and joyful environment where friendships bloom, confidence soars, and every child shines.
