The Texas Chiropractic Association, is having a Custom Boot Raffle to benefit the Chiropractic profession in Texas. Tickets are only $10 and the drawing will be held on December 1st. The boots can be completely designed by YOU including toe shape, color, patterns, initials, and overall design. They should be ready by Christmas if you win. What an incredible gift! Update on Dr. Susan Nearpass: Back in hospital for a few days to treat blood clots in both legs & lungs. They say treatable with meds. She's talking well & moving right leg. Right arm still immobile. She would appreciate your prayers. If you would like to send a card or flowers, she is at Methodist Charlton in south Dallas. She is in emergency room, bed 36, waiting for a room in ICU. She is having a tough time.

We were just informed that Dr. Susan Nearpass had a stroke a few weeks ago and is asking for our prayers. Please keep her in mind and send her positive healing vibes.

Did you know that a fellow Dallas Chiropractor was running for Dallas City Council?

East Dallas – Lakewood resident, Chuck Kobdish announces his run for the District 14 Dallas City Council race. In a crowded field of candidates, Kobdish feels he’s the best candidate for this seat because of his ties to the small business community that has such a significant impact on the City of Dallas.

Chuck Kobdish is a Doctor of Chiropractic and the owner of BackMenders - Chiropractic with Care in East Dallas, located at the Medallion Shopping Center. Since 2008, he has hosted a weekly business networking group called East Dallas Networking. An active member of the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce, he recently received the Chairman’s Award for his “outstanding contribution to the community.” A native Texan, Dr. Kobdish graduated from Lake Highlands High School. He is the founder of MEET! East Dallas, serves on the board of Live Local East Dallas, and is a member of the Leadership DISD Class of 2013. Chuck also supports numerous other organizations with his passion to serve the community.

“The City of Dallas has many strengths upon which we can build a brighter future. I want to play a role in creating a long term vision and plan for our future successes. My background in small business combined with my passion for community advocacy is the foundation that makes me the best candidate to represent District 14 and the city as a whole.” says Kobdish. Chuck and his wife, Sonia, have two young children, attend St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and reside in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood.

Our next get together will be on Friday, October 19th at 7:00p. We will meet at Dr. Nearpass' house. Her address is:
1845 E. Shore Circle, Dallas, TX. She will be providing the hamburger, grilled chicken, and baked beans. Feel free to bring other items such as, dessert, soda, ice, dip, vegetables, chips, casseroles, etc. Please RSVP to me at mraper@parker.edu.
