Dr. Nicholas Haddock is a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern. He is an accomplished cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon and a respected member of not only the Dallas plastic surgery community but is also known on a national level. His goal is to individualize treatment by fully understanding the patient’s needs through an open dialogue. Dr. Haddock

can offer state of the art treatment options including some techniques he helped pioneer. He is an expert in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery as well as microsurgery.

We had the privilege of hosting four plastic surgeons from Poland last week (Daniel Maliszewski, Dominik Walczak, Michal Lewandowicz, and Pawel Malinowski). They were able to spend time in Dr. Haddock’s clinic and the operating room learning about breast reconstruction. The specifically were able to see DIEP flaps, PAP flaps, and LAP flaps.

It was a pleasure to be invited as a visiting professor for the Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Was able to speak on breast reconstruction with alternative flaps and surgical expertise as well as spend some time with the plastic surgery residents in a cadaver lab doing PAP flaps and LAP flaps. Pleasure to spend time with our former graduate and her colleagues.

The 41st Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium!
An amazing meeting with many very talented colleagues and friends from around the world. Aside from performing live surgery I spoke on PAP flaps, LAP flaps, reconstruction following robotic ni**le sparing mastectomies, and managing complications.

Successful weekend a this weekend in San Diego. Gave multiple talks on breast reconstruction using alternative flaps and stacked flaps. Our series on 300 LAP flaps won best paper. Saw many friends and colleagues and even made a quick trip to for my daughter.

Our paper “Robotic Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction with Profunda Artery Perforator Flaps” was just published in

The manuscript highlights are early series of breast reconstruction using this new technique. We continue to strive to advance the field and increase the available options for our patients. One of our main goals is to reduce morbidity and our early data with the single port robotic ni**le sparing mastectomy and subsequent breast reconstruction has accomplished this with low complication rates and the potential for maintenance of sensation. Doing PAP flaps through this small incision in the axilla is another step forward to provide immediate natural breast reconstruction
