1️⃣ Begin by grabbing your EpiPen and removing the safety cap. Ensure that the needle end is pointing downwards.
2️⃣ Hold the EpiPen firmly in your dominant hand, forming a fist around it. With your other hand, swing forcefully to remove the grey activation cap.
3️⃣ Locate the fleshy outer part of your thigh. Remember, it's important to avoid injecting into a vein or directly into your buttocks. Aim for the middle portion of your outer thigh.
4️⃣ Position the EpiPen against your thigh at a right angle. Apply firm pressure until you hear a distinct click, indicating that the injection has begun.
5️⃣ Maintain pressure on the EpiPen against your thigh for approximately 10 seconds, ensuring that the needle remains inserted throughout the process.
6️⃣ Afterward, carefully remove the EpiPen from your thigh. The needle will be safely concealed within the device.
7️⃣ Even if you start feeling better, it's crucial to seek immediate medical assistance. Remember, an EpiPen is not a substitute for professional care.
