What ignites the spark in your health journey? For me, it all started with recognizing the power of the mind-body connection. 🧘🏻‍♀️

In the realm of nutrition, I was intrigued by how our food affects not just our physical health but our mood and mindset. I took it as my mission to nourish my body with wholesome, real food and experienced a transformation in my energy levels and overall well-being. 🥗

Hello, I’m İlay Polat. After completing my undergraduate studies in nutrition and dietetics in Istanbul, I continued with my master’s and doctoral studies. During this time, I also had the opportunity to work with Nestle Turkey, one of the largest food companies in the country.

As I continued my professional life, I managed my own diet clinics for over 10 years and assisted thousands of individuals on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. During this period, I realized that a healthy life is not just about losing or gaining weight, but also about establishing a balance between the body, mind, and soul.

This passion and curiosity led me to a holistic nutrition and health coaching program at a leading educational institution in New York. This education gave me a holistic perspective on improving people’s health, taking into account nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and other lifestyle factors.

Change is never easy, but often it’s through the most challenging transitions that we grow the most. Moving from Istanbul to Dallas was a geographical shift and a complete lifestyle change. There were days when the cultural differences felt overwhelming, and the responsibility of owning diet clinics felt daunting. But I’ve learned to embrace change, to adapt, to grow. Years ago, amidst the hustle of creating personalized nutrition plans and advocating for mindful living, I found myself feeling unusually drained. I was leading a healthy lifestyle, yet something seemed off balance.

One morning, it dawned on me. I was overusing my masculine energy, the energy of action, of constant striving. I was so focused on the ‘doing’ that I neglected the ‘being.’ This realization was my wake-up call. I needed to invite more feminine energy into my life - the power of nurturing, stillness, and simply being.

This realization became a turning point in my journey. I consciously embraced my feminine energy, balancing it with the masculine. The shift was transformative. I noticed a profound change in how I felt, worked, and interacted with others.

In the process, I learned a valuable lesson - embracing feminine energy is not about gender. It’s about balance. It’s about harmonizing the ‘doing’ with the ‘being,’ the giving with receiving, and aligning logic with intuition. And it’s about honoring these energies within us to thrive truly.

From this experience, my approach to nutrition and wellness evolved. I discovered that nourishing our bodies is as important as nourishing our spirits. This balance has been the key to unlocking a healthier, happier, and more fulfilled life - for myself and my clients.
