During National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (February 23–March 1), we are shining a light on something that often stays hidden. 💙

Eating disorders thrive in silence — but recovery is supported through awareness, education, and early intervention. Whether you are an athlete, coach, parent, or provider, your voice and awareness can make a difference.

Let this week be a reminder to check in, stay informed, and help create spaces where seeking support feels safe.

RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) occurs when an athlete is not taking in enough energy to support training, recovery, hormones, and overall health. It can negatively impact performance, bone health, mood, and long-term well-being, which is why athletes, coaches, and families need to recognize the signs early. Proper fueling is essential, not optional.

You did not cause your PCOS, and it is not the result of not trying hard enough, eating the wrong foods, or lacking willpower. PCOS is a complex hormonal and endocrine condition influenced by factors far beyond personal choice, and you deserve compassionate, evidence-based, individualized support as you navigate it. You are not to blame, and you do not have to figure it out alone.

Even though Valentine’s Day has passed, the reflection still stands 🤍

Thank you, body, for carrying me.
Through the highs.
Through the hard days.
Through it all.

Love and gratitude are not limited to one day.

Self love is not conditional.

Not on your weight.
Not on your productivity.
Not on how “perfect” you were today.

Your worth is not earned. It is inherent.
It does not change with a number, a mirror, or a meal. 🤍

Nourishment is an act of self love.

Not because you have to “earn” your food.
Not because you need to change your body.
But because your body deserves to be cared for.

Choosing to fuel yourself consistently, to eat enough, to honor hunger, and to enjoy food without guilt is a powerful form of self-respect.

Nourishment says:
“I am worthy of care.”
“I deserve energy.”
“My health matters.”

Love does not always look like bubble baths and rest days. Sometimes it looks like eating the meal. 🤍

You do not have to love your body to respect it.

Body respect is not about constant confidence or perfect self-love. It is about choosing to care for yourself even on the hard days. It is nourishing your body, resting when you need to, speaking to yourself with compassion, and setting boundaries that protect your well-being.

You do not have to feel in love with your body to treat it with dignity. Respect can come first. Love can grow from there. 🤍
