If you know anyone without working air conditioning, they may be eligible for a free AC window unit if they live in Dallas County, can afford to pay the electric bill, live in the house, and get permission from the landlord, if renting.

Although not a requirement, priority will be given to the elderly, infirmed, or those with small children.

If you need a ride to get your Covid vaccine there will be a free bus available at the NCC (5750 Pineland Dr, 75231) on Saturday, March 6, but you must register first. See their post below for details.

Do you need a ride to get your COVID-19 vaccine? There is a free bus available to take you to Fair Park on Saturday, March 6. Meet at the NCC at 9am. 🚌

You must sign up to get a ride. Sign up by coming to the NCC on Thursday, March 4 between 10am-12pm. 📅

The vaccine is only available to those who are 65+ or those who are 16+ with underlying health conditions. You must show that you live in 75231 or 75243 zip codes. If you qualify you are guaranteed to receive the vaccine on Saturday. 💉

FEMA is in Dallas for the next few weeks to vaccinate up to 21,000 residents a day.

FEMA is making it a priority to vaccinate persons at least 55-years-old with or without underlying health conditions as well as those in the 1A and 1B populations. Zip codes listed above have priority vaccination over anyone else and citizenship is not required.

To receive the vaccine you have to be registered, meet the criteria listed above and you will be prioritized and called within three days.

To register call 1-855-466-8639 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. any day of the week or visit dallascountycovid.org anytime if you have access to internet.

Northwest Community Center has water available to those in need today.

We have more water available today! Thanks again to the City of Dallas - City Hall for their donation. This time we have four pallets of gallon jugs. Two jugs of water per family. Come to the entrance at the back of our building to pick it up. 💧
