We invite you, your family, your coworkers, your friends and/ or organization groups to get in on bringing smiles to the faces of foster children in our community.

A few simple steps to get involved:

2. Plan a shopping day with family or friends to shop for your Angel’s items.

Each May Open Hearts Children and Family Services raises awareness and provide ways to support and acknowledge the 463,000 American children and youth in the foster care and the family members, foster parents, volunteers, mentors, professionals, and other stakeholders who help them find safe and nurturing homes and connections.

This year, we are excited to provide support with our Inaugural National Foster Care Month Tennis Shoe Drive: Donate Dunks! Please note you can purchase any new tennis shoe, Dunks are just recommended. As you may already know, foster children face many challenges and obstacles in their lives, and having proper footwear is essential for their physical health and overall well-being. Many foster children come into the system with very few belongings, and oftentimes, they do not have access to basic necessities such as shoes. By donating to the drive, you can help provide them with the essential footwear they need to thrive and succeed. Providing them with a new pair of Dunks will also boost their self-esteem and confidence! Your donation will make a significant impact on the lives of these children and help them feel valued and supported.
