Our annual Christmas dinner was held at the Monarch this year, and my heart is so full. ❤️🎄❤️
So grateful for this incredible team, the McLean Hearing Center family, who go above and beyond for our patients every single day.

One Man Changed the Rules of the Road ✨
In 1997, deaf truck driver Ron Moore applied to FedEx with 20 years of spotless experience. They told him,
“We don’t hire deaf drivers.”
So Ron did something bold: he sued under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
FedEx spent millions arguing deaf people couldn’t safely drive.
Ron and his small-town lawyer gathered data proving otherwise—400+ deaf truckers with accident rates 22% lower than hearing drivers.
In court, Ron calmly demonstrated a mirror with flashing lights that alerted him to emergency sirens. The room gasped. The jury ruled in his favor in just 47 minutes.
Ron won $8M, forced FedEx to change its nationwide policy, and helped end blanket bans on deaf drivers across the U.S.
He drove for FedEx until retiring in 2021.
Zero accidents.
Because one man refused to accept limits, thousands of deaf Americans now hold CDLs and drive coast to coast.
