Exciting news! Beginning Thursday, August 17th we are moving to paperless statements.

We heard you! Paper statements get lost in the mail or do not reach you timely. They can be confusing to read or contain information that is overwhelming.

These new electronic statements are much more simplified, will come faster, and make it easy to see at a glance why the amount is owed. This format will allow our patients the ability to see their remaining balance after prior payments or insurance adjustments, give insight into what services were billed, a look back at their payment history, and several other exciting new features down the road!

Statement messages will be sent via email or text depending on selected preferences. If text message is selected, it will originate from phone number (866) 395-3936. (Please note calling this number will not reach our office) Email statements will originate from an .com address.

If you have any questions about the new paperless statements, please give us a call @ 214-363-4421.

With excessive heat warnings in effect for most Texas residents, the Texas Department of State Health Services urges people to be aware of the signs of heat illness and take precautions to protect themselves from heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

The best defense against heat-related illness is prevention. Stay cool, drink plenty of fluids, wear cool clothing and limit strenuous outdoor activities. Other precautions:

Take action at the first sign of heat illness!

Symptoms of heat illness include heavy sweating, muscle cramps, weakness, dizziness, nausea, weak but rapid pulse and headaches. People experiencing these symptoms should find shade, drink water slowly and make sure there is good ventilation. If symptoms don’t improve, seek medical attention.

Searching for a photo to upload to a lecture I am giving tomorrow and I came upon this..... Dr. Jonathan Brough receiving an award from our esteemed hospital years ago. The "Physician All-Star" award by the nursing and administrative staff at Texas Health Resources, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, in recognition of his exceptional track record of public service and expertise in the field of OB/GYN. As I recall he was either the first or second to receive such an honor, and it may have been the last time I put on a white coat. Here's to the man who helped establish this practice and has kept it going through good times and bad; A man who never sings his own praises and so I will do him that honor.
Thank you to Dr. Angel and her staff at Women's Health Specialists of Dallas for the donation of 52 pairs of socks for our senior clients. We appreciate your support are thankful for you this Thursday!
