Real people. Real yoga. Real words.

If you’ve ever wondered what YAM is actually like… don’t take our word for it. Scroll through the reviews. The stories are better than anything we could write.

And if you’ve practiced with us?
Your words matter more than you know. Leaving a review helps new students feel brave enough to walk through the door.

Come read them.
Then maybe add yours. 💫

As baby grows, space becomes precious.

Gentle, open twists (never deep compressive twists) and supported side bends help:
• Relieve mid-back tension
• Reduce rib discomfort
• Encourage better breathing capacity
• Maintain spinal mobility safely

Movement is medicine — when done appropriately.

Pregnancy changes everything — especially your center of gravity and your breath.

In Prenatal Yoga at YAM, we begin seated. This allows students to:
• Connect to diaphragmatic breathing
• Reduce tension in the shoulders and jaw
• Establish pelvic floor awareness
• Create nervous system calm before moving

Intentional beginnings matter.

Stay tuned to see more of what to expect in our prenatal classes.

“There’s no such thing as being bad at yoga.”

At YAM, we don’t measure success by handstands or headstands.
We measure it by breath. By effort. By connection.

Real people. Real yoga. Zero ego.

Whether it’s your first class or your 500th, you belong here.

Drop a 💛 if we’ll see you this weekend!

The thing that makes Yin, Restorative and even Gentle Yoga so delicious is the absolutely dramatic use of props.

And we’re here for it. Literally. Here. Almost every day. Come get some!

About Us

Trey & Jen Johnson started YAM to create a community-based vibe around their mutual love for yoga, art & music.

Jen opened one of the first yoga studios in Dallas in 2001, American Power Yoga (formerly called Whole Life), and has been a local business person ever since. Trey has performed in and around Dallas from the age of 15 years old, most notably fronting the band Sorta. He currently operates State Fair Records.
