Growing up in Galveston, Texas, Itzel graduated from Galveston College in 2014 and honed her skills at UTMB Health on the medical-surgical floor and in the oncology department.
After gaining invaluable experience through travel nursing contracts during the COVID-19 pandemic, she moved to Houston two years ago.
