You have probably met Annettee at our concierge desk at The Preston. She has been welcoming residents and families at our front desk since 2018, and she brings kindness to our community every single day. This past Saturday Annette surprised resident Barbara with a big red teddy bear. Barbara’s reaction? Pure joy. She loved him so much she immediately named him “Teddy.”

Thank you, Annette, for the compassion and heart you bring to The Preston every day. 💐

Today we’re celebrating our incredible Chef, Jan Loov! 👨‍🍳
In honor of Employee Appreciation Day, we want to recognize Chef Jan for the passion, dedication, and heart he brings to our community every single day.

Originally from Sweden, Chef Jan has lived and worked all over the world — including Sweden, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Boston, and now Dallas. His impressive culinary background comes from 4- and 5-star hotels, where he honed his craft in fine dining restaurants and large banquets.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2000 and becoming a U.S. citizen in 2016, Chef Jan has continued to share his love of cooking with everyone around him. When he’s not in the kitchen creating delicious meals, he enjoys spending time with his wife and his dog.

Chef Jan, your creativity, kindness, and talent truly enrich the lives of our residents and team. We are so grateful for you today and every day!

It’s amazing how something so simple can bring so much joy — cheering each other on, celebrating every toss, and sharing plenty of giggles along the way. Moments like these keep our days active, engaging, and full of connection. 💛
