The ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) traded their usual outing for the fast lane, hitting the go-kart track and showing that fun, friendship, and a little friendly competition never go out of style.

Scammers are increasingly posing as government agencies to target older adults.

According to the National Council on Aging, criminals often pretend to be from the Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to pressure people into sharing personal information or sending money.

🚩 Red flags include threats of arrest, urgent payment requests, or messages asking for your Medicare or Social Security number.

When in doubt: hang up, delete the message, and never share personal information.
