📣Let's talk about pesticides📣
🌟 Pesticides are chemical substances with varying degrees of toxicity and modes of action. Certain concentrations of pesticide residues must remain in/on the treated species of crops or plants to control target pests that could destroy the food/botanical source.
🌟National authorities authorize the use of pesticides only after critical evaluation of toxicity, biological efficacy and residual remaining in/on food or plant as well as in the environment. To protect consumer use of food and botanical products, levels of pesticides should be monitored in any material derived from a crop or plant especially in cases where the source is treated with pesticides.
🌟Using GC-MS and/or LC-MS, food and botanical sources can be analyzed for pesticides in the laboratory and tested following USP method , FDA multiresidue methods or other scientifically sound methods.
