“Therapy isn’t for us.” “Depression is weakness.” These are just a few of the harmful myths that still exist in many BIPOC communities. ❌

Seeking mental health care is not a lack of faith in God—it’s a step toward healing and strength. Stigma grows in silence, but healing starts when we speak the truth. It sets us free.

Taking care of your mental health is an act of courage and self-love—not a luxury or weakness. Call us at (817)350-4377 or visit https://buff.ly/2VtjXl6

During BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize that mental health support isn’t always accessible for BIPOC communities.

Barriers like racism, stigma, language barriers, and fear of being misunderstood often make seeking care harder.

These challenges are real, and so is the urgent need to break them down and create change.

The time is Now. Call us at (817)350-4377 or visit https://buff.ly/2VtjXl6

During BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, remember that seeking care is a powerful step toward healing for yourself and your community

We all play a part in building more inclusive, accessible mental health support. This month, take small but meaningful actions that make a difference:
🔸 Prioritize your mental health, reach out for the care you deserve
🔸 Support those around you in their healing journeys
🔸 Speak up for equity in mental health services

Even simple acts, setting boundaries, listening, showing up, can create powerful, healing ripples.

Your mental wellness matters. Call us at (817)350-4377 or visit https://buff.ly/2VtjXl6

Anxiety, depression, racial trauma, and intergenerational stress are often experienced in BIPOC communities. Symptoms may look different, and can be misunderstood.

Mental distress can look different across cultures. While some recognize depression as sadness or withdrawal, others may express it through physical symptoms like fatigue or pain. In BIPOC communities, distress may be communicated through silence, somatic complaints, or spiritual language—these may be misunderstood or overlooked by providers lacking cultural awareness.

Mental health is unique to each person, and care should be tailored to fit.

July is Bebe Moore Campbell Minority Mental Health Awareness Month (also recognized as BIPOC Mental Health Month), a time to raise awareness and to recognize the unique mental health needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

These communities face distinct challenges that deserve culturally aware and compassionate care. 🌿

When care acknowledges identity and lived experience, it becomes more meaningful and effective. Mental health care should acknowledge and respects who a person is—their culture, background, identity, and life experiences

Call us at (817)350-4377 or visit https://buff.ly/2VtjXl6 for your mental wellness needs.
