No Name-Calling Week is an opportunity to notice how words can harm — including the ones we say to ourselves. Repeated labeling over time can negatively affect confidence, self-worth, and identity development.
Try this:
🗣️ Shift self-talk from “I’m stupid” to “I’m struggling right now”
🗣️ Name the feeling or experience, not the person: “That hurt”
🗣️ Model respectful, compassionate language at home, at school, and at work
