Be in nature


If we are out of balance we can relax in the knowing that nature isn’t. It naturally has a balancing tendency. There is also great intentionality in nature and that is why we feel at peace there.

That intentionality is powerful and when we step into, it has an immediate effect on us. It orients our inner compass.

We can ORIENT our compass with the 4 elements that are available for us each day, when we choose to see them, connect with them. Your senses are keen as you experience nature in a new way (see, feel, taste, smell, hear).

Try this. Go outside. And connect with each of the elements: Air Earth, Fire, Wind
Set an intention that nature can and will bring you into alignment.

Do something you are good at

What do you really, really like to do?
Is it because when you do it, you feel happy?
And is that because you are good at it?

Do we purposefully do something to “make” us happy, or do we just gravitate towards the things we are good at?

I’m asking a lot of questions here.

Doing something we are good at creates a sense of accomplishment, elevating our mood.

What are you good at? Take stock. Have you done it lately? Schedule some time with yourself now to experience that. Or try something you have never done before and perhaps surprise yourself; that sense of accomplishment also elevates your mood.

Be kind

Decades ago when my kids were in school, I saw blue and white ‘BE KIND’ street signs placed throughout the city of Irving.

I still think of those signs. However they are long gone, and that is too bad.

There is an adorable French film called Amelie; she is living a pretty lonely life but does things secretly that make other people happier, and in the end, she finds true love. Ahhh. She was being kind. And her kindness was attractive and alluring.

Be kind today; a smile counts, but leaving someone a note is even more thoughtful.

Remember, you feel better, they feel better, and that brightens up your spot on the planet.

Being grateful can lift you out of a bad mood like a magic pill.
Why is that?
Well, it is simple brain chemistry, the chemical response in the brain to a thought or emotion.

If you can’t think of anything to be grateful for, you can borrow this poem; perhaps it will nudge you:

EXCITED ANTICIPATION

Remember the feeling of being a child and anticipating your birthday?

I like to think of that as Excited Anticipation. And, it feels good.

As adults, we can become immune to this feeling. We tend to see excitement of the event but focus on the responsibilities around it. The weekends are great, but we also have to adult. So while we look forward to the weekend, the reality of our duties zaps our excitement.

Hypnosis helps you find excitement in the little things in life. I’m not sure what those are for you, but in hypnosis, you can easily connect to them using your imagination and desire to feel better.

Maybe, just maybe, you are not as happy as you could be because you are not expressing what you need to say.

Writing is an excellent way to VENT your frustrations before bed each night. That way, your mind doesn’t have to sort it all out for you as you TRY to fall asleep.

So, before bed, get out your pen and paper and let it all out, this frees your mind to fall asleep more quickly, and as a result, you feel happier.

It works when you stick with it; if you have a hard time sticking with something, then consider hypnosis to build new patterns that are lasting.

Regular movement, or exercise is a natural way to find more happiness in your life. But how do you get out of your current rut, how do you free yourself from those "4 walls"?

10 ways to make the most of this year.

Because when you have a really good year, you can have another one , and another, and another etc., etc.

1. Remember that now will be ‘the good ole days’. Live today as if you are experiencing the good ole days. There is a positive mechanism wherein we tend to forget the hardships of yesteryear and focus on the good times. Hopefully that is your experience.
2. Balance your time: at the end of your life, you will probably not say, “I wished I would have worked more.”
3. Evaluate each day for the positive events, look for the good in the day and you will find the good.
4. Smile daily
5. Move daily
6. Express yourself creativity, or have an engaging conversation
7. Spend time in nature, regularly
8. Limit time on your device
9. Make a new friend, or reconnect with a former one.
10. Speak kindly to yourself and your body.

I have returned to The Flow Center recently after I saw Valerie Grimes at The Flow Center a few times a little over a year ago, but had to stop as my work hours didnt allow me to continue. Ive been able to see her again, and I just finished my second session of recent. It is remarkable the memories we hold on to that affect us so many years later. Memories I didnt even realize I had still. Hypnosis is not what you see on TV. No she doesn't make me cluck like a chicken lol. It's guided meditation, deep relaxation so you can access memories, thoughts, triggers, more easily. And to suggest new, healthier ideas and thoughts. The mind is a POWERFUL thing. Not to mention its extremely relaxing!!!! Anyways, it has been a God send and I am so excited to continue going. I am hopeful. And to think I randomly came across her youtube channel on a lunch break once, amd she just happened to be in Dallas. Funny how the universe works. :) I didnt think that with my constantly worried and turning mind that this would even work for me, however now I can confidently say that hypnosis is a very powerful tool that I have 100% faith in.
The behavioral change hypnosis sessions with Valerie Ann have unlocked potential within me regarding growing personally and professionally. I had beliefs that were no longe servicing me, I was able to truly let go of with help of The flow Center! I was ready to do the work and I am seeing/feeling the results! Thank you.
