Some days abroad are glamorous.
Some days are just real life.

Today was supposed to be a quick walk to Dollar City here in Cali. What I didn’t realize was Apple Maps had me climbing some serious hills toward the Sebastián de Belalcázar overlook. 😅

Halfway there, I had to stop, breathe, and listen to my body. I ended up taking an Uber the rest of the way — and I’m so glad I did.

Because after 5 days indoors adjusting to my move, residency stress, and settling into a new neighborhood… I finally got outside again. 💛

And look at the reward: one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Cali, Colombia.

Living abroad in your 70s isn’t about moving fast.
It’s about freedom, wisdom, adapting, and continuing to explore anyway.

Today reminded me:
Progress still counts, even when you pause.
