According to the Organ Procurement & Transplantation Network, the number of living donor transplants has continued to grow in recent years, with more than 7,000 taking place nationwide in 2025 alone.

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas from Solar Prep joined us for the Medical City Healthcare kids teaching kids® Healthy Lifestyles contest!

They sampled and judged nutritious snack recipes from Texas high school students, which will be featured in next year’s digital cookbook and 21-Day Snacking Challenge. The day also included a “Knowing My Emotions” session led by clinical therapists, with each Girl Scout earning a patch.

Since 2014, the program has reached more than 500,000 elementary students across 30+ districts, building healthier habits across Texas.
