New 5.0-star Review: "I called Home Care Assistance because they were one of three agencies recommended by my husband's home hospice provider. I was told they would communicate well with his hospice nurses, which was crucial. From my first call, the receptionist was polite and made sure I was connected to the proper person for my needs. The Director of Client Care spent 3 hours with us and assured me that they would work with my two-nights-a-week schedule of needing a night time caregiver. She answered all my questions, reviewed the layout of our home, and watched me interact with my husband when he needed assistance. She made several suggestions which I very much appreciated. She and other management personnel chose Alex W. as my husband's caregiver. The Client Care Coordinator and Alex came for an introductory meeting to ensure a smooth transition before Alex spent the first night. Alex was both polite and professional, and I knew she was the perfect choice. She brought a sense of peace and spoke to my husband calmly and patiently. Alex even made friends with our 13 yr old Beagle who always slept by my husband's side. Unfortunately she stayed only three nights before my husband transitioned to hospice crisis care (24 hr home care) and I had to cancel Home Care Assistance. I notified the Director of Client Care who assured me that this situation would cancel our HCA agreement without penalty. Once the account was reviewed and final billing completed, they refunded my full deposit. Based on the people I met and the service they provided, I would definitely recommend Home Care Assistance."
