❤️ DON’T SKIP A BEAT ❤️
February is American Heart Month, a time to prioritize your heart and turn awareness into action! Since heart disease remains a leading cause of death, focus on these four pillars of prevention to keep your heart strong.
❤️ 4 Steps to a Healthier Heart
🥗 Eat for Your Heart: Prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Aim to limit highly processed foods, added sugars, and sodium.
🚭 Quit for Good: Smoking is a major cause of preventable heart disease. Quitting entirely—at any age—immediately starts improving your heart rate and reducing your risk of heart attack.
🏃♂️ Get Moving: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week (like brisk walking) or 75 minutes of vigorous activity. Don't forget muscle-strengthening exercises at least 2 days a week!
💤 Prioritize Rest & Stress: Quality sleep (7–9 hours) and managing stress are essential for long-term cardiovascular health.
