The first surgery on my schedule for 2026 is a mommy makeover. That’s fairly common at the start of the year. Many patients use this time to address changes from pregnancy or weight loss and plan surgery early so recovery fits better into the year ahead.

Breast reduction is both a functional and aesthetic procedure. This patient, age 50, presented with a long history of excessively heavy breasts that contributed to neck, shoulder, and lower back pain for over a decade. She measured as a DDD with significant drooping and no size imbalance between sides.

Surgery involved removing 2,190 grams of excess skin and tissue (approximately five pounds total) to reduce weight, reposition the breast, and restore support. Following the procedure, the patient reported resolution of her pre-operative symptoms.
