Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms, mother figures, and women who pour into others every single day! 💕

This is my favorite photo — the last Mother’s Day picture I got to take with my mom in 2016. I hold it so close to my heart. Although she didn’t get to see me become an audiologist in the physical, I know without a doubt she was with me every single step of the way. Every late night studying, every patient I’ve helped hear again, every milestone — she was there. And I know she is so proud.

To everyone celebrating today, and to those who are celebrating while holding grief at the same time — you are seen, and your love is felt. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌸

Didn’t plan on becoming an audiologist. Then again, the best things rarely go according to plan.

Here’s how I got here — and why I wouldn’t change a thing.

The ringing doesn’t stop when the mission does. 🎖️

Tinnitus is a top disability among returning military service members — ranking even above hearing loss. These men and women sacrifice so much, and their hearing health is often the silent casualty of service.

Ever wonder what it’s like to live with high-frequency hearing loss? 🎧

This video was actually one of the resources I discovered back in grad school when I was trying to truly understand my patients’ experiences — not just from a clinical standpoint, but from a human one.

High-frequency hearing loss affects the clarity of speech more than the volume. So conversations can feel exhausting, confusing, and isolating — even when sounds seem “loud enough.”

This is why early intervention matters. This is why we advocate. This is why audiology is so much more than just hearing tests.

Does any of this sound familiar? 👀

Turning the TV up. Struggling in restaurants. Nodding along when you actually missed everything. These aren’t just “getting older” moments — they could be signs of hearing loss.

Swipe through, save this, and share it with someone who might need it. A hearing evaluation takes less than an hour and could change everything. 🩷
