Bullet is asking for your support.

EquiTeam is a part of Give Local York again this year (May 1-2). EquiTeam works diligently every year to raise funds for clients to receive trauma therapy, that are typically unable to afford services.

EquiTeam is unique in that we focus on extreme trauma - developmental, complex and combat traumas that, if left untreated, can be crippling. Every year there EquiTeam has to raise over $100,000 to financially support this population and help them stabilize and become healthy members of our community. A link will be posted on the day of the event to click and donate. Bullet is asking that you please donate and help this non-profit continue to provide funding for those in need.

IT’S OFFICIAL…

Please help us congratulate Ellie Williams on becoming a DDP PACE Trainer.

Ellie is a step closer in fulfilling her mission of helping more people!!! PACE is an incredible system within Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy that helps parents, caregivers, teachers and other professionals connect with children (and teens/young adults) on a deeper level to support healthy behaviors. The most brilliant aspect of PACE is that the same skills are used with regulated and dysregulated children creating consistency in the homes, classrooms, and facilities.

Such an accomplishment Ellie - congratulations 🎉

EquiTeam doesn’t just have horses - we have small animals too! Meet Casper! He found us and has made himself at home in the barn and office!

Casper is so quiet and patient with our clients - sitting on their laps or playing with a toy. He helps our clients find comfort to process through their trauma history or help to teach them to smile and find some joy in their too serious world. His story of being homeless - finding a family and safety connects with so many too

Animals are amazing regulators and they support EquiTeam’s mission so well - to help those that have experienced the unthinkable.

EquiTeam is a small non profit that provides mental health therapy with a trauma focus in York and Baltimore Counties (and surrounding areas). Executive Director, Ellie Williams, is one of only 15 Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Practitioners in the United States specializing in developmental and complex trauma. Horses and other animals are utilized in treatment, supporting this intense therapeutic process.

In addition to contracts and full pay clientele EquiTeam works diligently every year to raise funds to provide financial assistance to those unable to afford services. In today’s climate it has become increasingly more difficult to secure funding for those with financial insecurity.

We are reaching out to social media for support. PLEASE SHARE to get our mission to as many as possible. In only a few weeks EquiTeam will be participating in Give Local York’s annual day of giving (www.givelocalyork.org) to raise this funding.

If you know of businesses or individuals that support mental health, children and youth, veterans, and animals please encourage them to donate to this well deserved cause. More information to come - we will provide direct links for the big event (9pm May 1st to 9pm May 2nd).

Thank you for your help. Each child and family that receives funding for services thanks you as well. We want to be able to contine this much needed support.

If you have the luxury of thinking addicts are lowlife scums who chose their addiction, remember to thank your Higher Self that you have no idea what this life is like. One thing you never want to do is watch someone you love, who has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into a life that will most likely lead to jail or death. You want to grab them and shake them and scream, "What are you doing?!?!" but, at some point, you realize it wouldn't make a bit of difference. So, you sit back and watch the tragedy unfold, as if you are watching a movie. Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, even though you know, only the addict can help themselves. Battling addiction is a beast for the person addicted, and for the ones who love them. l am asking you to stand with me in support of every family member, loved one, and friend who has lost or is losing their battle with drugs, alcohol or other addictions and for those who continue to conquer it!
Put this on your page for one hour if you know someone who struggles/ed with addiction.🤲🏼🦋💜😞🙏😭
You’re not alone.
Thank you ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Loving a drug addict or an active alcoholic is the hardest thing you will ever do. Watching someone you love, who has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into a life that will most likely lead to jail or death, is one of the hardest things you will ever do. All you wanted was to help them back to a clean and sober life but you realize by doing this, as you have before, will now just be enabling them because it will show them that you will always be there to bail them out. You want to grab and shake them and say "What are you doing?!?!" But, at some point you realize that it wouldn't make a difference. So you sit back and watch the tragedy unfold, as if you are watching a movie. Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, even though you know only the addict can help themselves. Having to disconnect yourself from them to save yourself from plunging into the abyss with them. It’s one of the hardest things you will ever experience. You love them from afar and keep praying that they will find their way. Battling a drug and/or an alcohol addiction is a beast for the person addicted and the ones who love them. So l am asking you to stand with me in prayer for every family member and friend who has lost or is losing their battle with drugs and alcohol and those who continue to conquer it!
September is National Recovery Month! Put this on your page for one hour if you know someone who has or had an addiction. Many will be hesitant to!!! Some of you won't, but I think I know the ones who will.

This is a heartfelt message! Rebeka Lynn just finished her last official day as EquiTeam’s barn manager today. She has been an integral part of our organization- making sure our horses are well cared for and the barn is always in order. She has been AMAZING. Fortunately we will see her a few more times before she heads off to Wyoming to start her life out there! Thank you Beka for all that you have done for us. We will miss you 😊❤️😊

As many of you know - much of my work is with children in the foster and adoption system, as well as veterans and their families. They have to work through endless transitions and adjustments with a majority experiencing significant trauma. Within equine therapy we work to find equine staff that complements the work we do.

Meet ‘Golden Salute’ - a four year old off-the-track-thoroughbred who will be joining our team in a month or so. He came off of the track last week and will get some much deserved let down time before coming to Equiteam Support Services.

We are so excited for this special fellow to join us and to share his journey with you. Not only will he be an equine therapy horse, he is eligible for the 2025 Thoroughbred Makeover - Retired Racehorse Project where he will work for the next year or so transitioning into his new life (just like many of our clients!)

Please welcome ‘Salute’ ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Lindy Gutman for connecting us with this beautiful horse. Nathalie Williams - I look forward to this journey with you. Katie Fitzpatrick - we are going to need you!!!
