"πŸŽ—οΈ Together for a Cancer-Free Future: World Cancer Day 2026...
Every year on February 4th, the world comes together to recognize World Cancer Day β€” a moment set aside not just for awareness, but for humanity, compassion, and shared strength.

Cancer is more than an illness. It is a life-altering journey that reshapes days, priorities, and dreams. For those facing it, the road can feel long and uncertain, filled with physical pain, emotional exhaustion, and quiet moments of fear that most people never see. Yet within that struggle lives a kind of courage that deserves to be honored β€” the courage to keep going, to keep hoping, to keep believing in another sunrise.

This day is about recognizing that bravery.

It’s also about the families, friends, and caregivers who walk beside their loved ones through treatments, hospital visits, and sleepless nights. Their support often happens in small, tender ways β€” holding a hand, sharing a meal, offering a ride, sitting together in silence. These simple acts become anchors of comfort in an overwhelming storm.

And there is space, too, for remembrance.

For those who have lost someone to cancer, the ache does not fade just because time moves forward. Love leaves an imprint that never disappears. It lives in memories, in photographs, in the way certain songs or scents bring someone rushing back into the room. Grief is not weakness β€” it is proof of deep love that still exists.

World Cancer Day reminds us that no one should have to face this journey alone.

To those currently fighting: your strength is seen, even on the days you feel tired, discouraged, or afraid. Your story matters. Your life matters. And there are hearts all around the world quietly cheering you on.

To those supporting someone with cancer: your presence is powerful beyond words. Your kindness, patience, and unwavering love make a difference in ways you may never fully realize.

To those carrying loss: your loved ones are remembered. Their light, their laughter, their spirit continue to live on in the lives they touched.

This day stands as a symbol of unity β€” of communities, families, and strangers connected by empathy. It carries hope for better treatments, earlier detection, and gentler journeys ahead. But most of all, it carries a simple, powerful message:

No matter where you are in this story β€” fighting, supporting, remembering β€” you are not alone."

Love this!

Drew Sinclair, an equipment manager for the Washington Commanders, seized the opportunity on Sunday, November 30, to raise awareness for a cause close to his heart: neurofibromatosis (NF). Diagnosed with NF Type 1 at a young age, Drew is determined to use his position with the NFL to spotlight this genetic condition, which affects members of his family and 4 million people worldwide.

As part of the Commander's annual initiative that allows players and staff to wear customized footwear representing causes they are passionate about, Drew proudly wore shoes adorned with the NF Network's logo during the game. β€œMy whole family has NF, and I would love to represent the NF Network on the NFL sidelines,” Drewshared. He collaborated with the NF Network to design these special shoes.

This week has been an emotional one for me. Two beautiful, full of light young ladies became angels in Heaven! Out of respect to the first kiddo who left us Tuesday morning, I will not mention her name until it had been released by her parents. The other sweet child, Brielle, left this world Thursday. I have been following Brielle for awhile now and the other kiddo, I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago. For both of these young ladies; to say they fought hard is an understatement!! I feel for both of these families knowing what they have been through and for what lies ahead. My heart is broken for each of these families. The only comfort I have to share is that our sweet Savi has made two new friends this week. 😭 It is so difficult when you are left here on earth to navigate a now different and difficult life without your child. Please say a few extra prayers for these families who are going through the unthinkable. πŸ™πŸ’›πŸ˜‡

You are the miracle! Your purpose on earth was fulfilled, and it was the most sacred privilege to es**rt you home. You brought people to Christ, you showed the world that God is good, and your light shined to all corners of the earth. We love you for eternity!
β€’
We will look for you in all the details, especially the dragonfly’s. We will never stop sharing your story. Please come visit us often. Your bedroom door is always open, and we’ll leave the playroom light on.
β€’
You did it Brielle, you did everything with grace! I can only imagine the incredible reunion, and I’m so jealous; but I know you ran straight to Jesus. 😭
β€’
Thank you for being an inspiration to so many.

Happy 12th Birthday to our Savi girl! Miss you more than words can say! Wonder what your likes & dislikes would be. What would you be for Halloween? What would you have wanted to do for your birthday - skate party? Sleep over? πŸ€” Would you be playing sports like Cody or a musical instrument? Or maybe horses like Cierra? Would you be as tall as dad or short like me? We will remember the sweet, kind and loveable girl we once had here with us. Smiling and laughing. Happy Birthday in Heaven, sweet pea!
