🌞 July is UV Safety Awareness month! 🌞

As the weather warms up, it's more important than ever to protect our little ones from harmful UV rays! 🌞🔆

Did you know that skin damage from UV exposure can start at a young age? In fact, 80% of UV exposure occurs before the age of 18! That’s why UV safety is a MUST for your kids, whether they're playing outside, at the pool, or enjoying a family picnic.

Here’s how you can keep your child’s skin safe this summer:

Use sunscreen: Apply a broad-spectrum, SPF 30 or higher sunscreen to all exposed skin, even on cloudy days.

Seek shade: Encourage outdoor activities in shaded areas, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when UV rays are strongest.

Wear protective clothing: Light, long-sleeved shirts, hats with wide brims, and UV-protective sunglasses can make a big difference.

Reapply often: Sunscreen wears off after swimming or sweating, so remember to reapply every 2 hours, and immediately after swimming.

Be mindful of reflective surfaces: Water, sand, and snow can increase UV exposure, so extra protection is needed in these environments.
