Today, a new client came in who hadn’t allowed herself the comfort of a massage in six long years. After her session, she opened up about feeling a sense of relief, as if she could finally breathe more easily. I learned that she had been carrying the heavy burden of losing her daughter to an overdose last June. In that heartfelt moment, we embraced, and a deep, unspoken connection formed between us—one that only those who have experienced the profound pain of losing a loved one can truly understand. This experience served as a powerful reminder of the holistic healing that massage therapy can offer for the mind, body, and soul. It’s moments like these that reaffirm my passion for this work and the impact it can have on others.
