The Damascus Festival of Miles is on Saturday October 4, 2025. It includes the following events: Damascus Festival of Miles - 3 Hour Option, Damascus Festival of Miles - 6 Hour Option, and Damascus Festival of Miles - 12 Hour Option.

If you're a true running fan, you've probably read the book Born To Run by Chris McDougall. The man on the cover of the book is Billy "Bonehead" Barnett, who now lives in Damascus, VA. Billy will be running the upcoming Osprey Packs Trail Days 5K on Sunday, May 18th, and the race is offering a Billy Bonehead Challenge with $100 for anyone who beats Billy in the race (up to $1000 total). Even if you don't think you can beat Billy, come run a great race and meet a super nice guy! Damascus is still recovering from the flood and would love to have a big crowd at the race.
