• Shuffling gait, with decreased ankle dorsiflexion
• Pronounced forward trunk lean and limited pelvic rotation
• Asymmetrical arm swing (left arm nearly absent)
• Hesitancy initiating gait; fear of falling
• Right-dominant, braced stance pattern
• Functional limitations impacting independence

🚶‍♂️ Outcome – July 24

• No wasted time

Just a system that works when you understand the body as a whole.

Case Study: Recovery from 18 Years of Chronic Foot and Ankle Pain

Client Background

The client spent 18 years suffering from chronic foot and ankle pain. During this time, they sought treatment from various specialists:

• Orthotics: Custom orthotics were prescribed by foot specialists to alleviate pain.
• Surgeries: Consultation and multiple procedures with foot surgeons to correct structural issues.
• Physical Therapy: Undergone physical therapy aimed at rehabilitation.
• Chiropractic Care: Received chiropractic adjustments in an attempt to improve alignment and reduce discomfort.
Despite these efforts, the client continued to experience pain and limped for nearly two decades.

Holistic Muscle Therapy Approach

In July, the client began working with me, employing a holistic, integrative approach to address the pain. Unlike conventional treatments that compartmentalize the body, our focus was on treating the body as a complex, interconnected system. The methodology included:

• Posture and Gait Analysis: Understanding how foot mechanics affect the entire body.
• Breathing and Core Stability: Improving core control to reduce stress on the foot and ankle.
• Manual Therapy: Targeting imbalances in muscles and connective tissues to restore natural foot function.

Results

The transformation occurred over approximately 20 hours of work. By October 19th, the client was walking pain-free from head to toe. The photos below show the changes in foot structure and alignment from July 1st to October 19th:

• July 1st: The foot displays signs of imbalance and compensation.
• October 19th: The foot exhibits more natural alignment and strength, correlating with the client’s pain-free experience.

Conclusion

This case demonstrates that addressing the body as a holistic system can yield remarkable results even in longstanding cases where traditional, specialist-focused methods have not succeeded. After years of unsuccessful treatments, this client is now able to walk pain-free. Do you need this approach?

Dear Valued Clients,

Happy Thanksgiving! Grateful after 13 years dedicated to providing the best possible Holistic Massage Therapy to you, I've come to a point of reflection and growth. My commitment to your well-being has always been my top priority, and as I continue on this journey, I've realized the importance of ensuring a sustainable and balanced practice.

To maintain the level of care and expertise you've come to expect, I've made the decision to adjust my pricing beginning January 1st 2024. This change reflects not just the value of the service I provide and the rising costs of doing business but also supports my own well-being in this athletic and demanding profession.

I've learned from experiences that sustaining a high-quality service requires setting boundaries and ensuring fair compensation for my skills. Your support in this adjustment means you're not just investing in yourself and wellbeing but also contributing to the sustainability of my life pursuit in helping others.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. I'm dedicated to continuing to offer you the best care possible and look forward to our continued journey working together.

Warm regards,
Alexander Wade CMT

Hey I’m Alexander Wade a 12 year manual / neuromuscular therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner.

Many massage therapists learn techniques like following a recipe in a cookbook. They're taught specific steps, timing, and methods as if we're baking a cake.

But here's the catch: our bodies aren't simple ingredients like flour and eggs. We're incredibly complex, with each body having its unique composition and needs.

Think about it – we've got experts for every nook and cranny in our system! So, expecting one technique to suit everyone and everything is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. There's an array of techniques, each like a recipe, but the variables in our bodies are always changing and intricate.

In this complex puzzle of human bodies, the real goal isn't following a set recipe. It's about delving into this complexity, understanding the unique needs of each person, and using that knowledge to help them heal and thrive.🌟💆‍♂️

Everything Is Connected

The Universe and our Body

The universe has for thousands of years been an object of fascination for man. This journey to self-discovery and the discovery of our cosmos has also been for thousands of centuries. He has looked into the vast darkness of space and the sky in search of the truth. Even through religion and science, man has continued the quest to better understand who we are and how we relate to our place of abode. As time goes by and we gained new knowledge and became more enlightened, we began changing our frame of reference depending on what we believe in. Take for instance, people once believed that the Earth was the center of the universe, but thanks to Copernicus and Galileo who provided new knowledge against what was known then, and now we know the truth: that it's only a microscopic part of the humongous Milky Way galaxy which is also one of the many billions of galaxies that the universe houses. As scientists unravel more of the incredible secrets of this amazingly huge universe, we are beginning to realize how small our Earth is in the grand scheme of things. Before we can fully understand this giant "puzzle", we still a long way to go. And maybe we never will. Religion and science are pretty closing in on each other. They are cross-linking. We now know that the physical and the spiritual world may not be as far apart as we are made to believe. They might actually be connected and entangled. While some people have found answers to some of these life's big questions and so found inner peace, others are still searching. One thing we have truly discovered is the amazing connection existing between man and the universe.

  • Understanding the Connection Our coherence with the natural world is no doubt one of the most significant connections that we has as humans. Nature does the work of a botanical bridge that offers a lot of hints to what our reality truly is as a component of a self-sustaining united field. All forms of life are wholly coherent and interconnected. The absence of this coherent, multi-level interconnectivity, would have been the absence of all things as we know it. However, each creature is also a distinct organism. This also concerns our own bodies. We Humans can be described as the living cells in the big body of the universe. We live in a living cosmos, as demonstrated by the most fundamental attributes of our body's biology. As is the greatest, so is the smallest. We are a part of one system; the universe. Have you ever sat down to imagine how everything from around you came to be and from where? All the cars, buildings, plants, animals, people, etc. all came from the earth. None of these things were transported from another universe. The universe mirrors every being or object on this Earth. For example, all the different elements like Iron, Potassium, Magnesium, etc. which are part of the constituent makeup of our body has their source in this universe. The microelements - atoms also share their presence in all things that this universe holds. Survival and adaptability concepts to the ecosystem changed our understanding that we are not the same with the other beings. In summary, all matters came from a single entity that differed as a result of the various challenges presented by evolution.

  • One very significant revelation is that all things are made of #atoms - planets, people, stars, etc. They all arose from the same source, which is why life is deeply connected to the universe. We are not only living in the universe, we are a part of the universe. Scientist have made us understand that a single cell is also a complete system, just like the brain and the whole body. All systems are sustained by homeostasis and driven by feedback loops. This system self-organizes continually. Our bodies are an entire #ecology and we are the ones presiding over them. Just like planetary ecology, our body maintains #harmony and balance by responding to all that nourishes it. In relating the universe to our own bodies, we can say it's like a vessel just like our human body. And the same way #vessels hold content, the universe and our bodies allow a bit of content to stay in. The truth is that the universe and our body all have a common denominator.
