🚨 Flu cases are surging, and Influenza A (H3N2) is hitting harder this season. Symptoms can come on fast and feel more intense, but early care can make a difference.
If flu symptoms begin, reaching out to your primary care provider early is key. Antiviral medications may be recommended and are most effective when started within the first 48 hours. Your provider can help guide next steps and monitor symptoms based on your health history.
If symptoms worsen or you’re unable to reach your primary care provider, visiting urgent care can help ensure timely evaluation and treatment.
The ER should be used for severe symptoms such as a fever of 103°F or higher that doesn’t respond to medication, trouble breathing, chest pain, confusion or signs of dehydration.
