Yesterday we participated in the annual Dane Fest parade. Decorated the truck to show what 4H is all about and how it’s more than just animals. We also handed out cheese and milk as a little treat. Huge thank you to everyone who came and helped us!!

At our meeting this past Sunday we worked on making our posters for the Dane parade coming up in a couple of weeks on June 29th. We incorporated all parts of what our club is involved in and things that are related to agriculture. Including animals, our community service work, and of course we had to include foods. Come see us at the parade! We’ll be handing out cheese sticks and milk!

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter! This past Saturday we hosted our annual Easter egg hunt. We had an amazing turnout and want to thank everyone that showed up, and hope that everyone had a wonderful time. Who doesn’t love bingo!! Twice a year (valentines day and Halloween) we visit Dove Healthcare and our members get to help run bingo for all the residents. We help bring residents to and from their rooms, assist them with playing bingo, deliver prizes, and have a little sweet treat at the end!!

This month we included our clubs winter activity which we chose as bowling. Our groups were completely randomized and had questions our group leaders asked the kids to learn more about each other. Then the members got out of their comfort zone and worked with a variety of people. Bowling has been one of our clubs favorite activities to do that is fun for everybody.

Tonight’s meeting event consisted of our members packing self care bags that will be donated to Reach Out Lodi. To make these bags we submitted a request to our county’s 4h program, giving them a detailed description of what our grant will all be used for. Our bags included things like toothbrushes and toothpaste, lotion, chapstick, body wash, etc. We love finding ways like this to give back to the community, especially those in need of things like this that are easy and fun for us to do to make their lives better.

After tonight’s meeting we hosted our anual christmas party. All the members got divided into 4 groups and competed against the other teams to win a prize. All of the games involved the members to work outside of their comfort zone, with people they may not know, in order to get a win for their team. As well as ending our night with a classic game of bingo.

Tonight’s meeting we ushered out the old and brought in the new….officers that is! Picture 1 is our out-going officer team - thank you all for your hard work and dedication this past year!
