My mission is to empower others, ignite inspiration, and always be a place where all people feel valued, encouraged and supported. I am passionate about CrossFit and a healthy lifestyle. I want to share my passion and expertise to help others find their self-confidence and inner strength, the way I have. CUU is dedicated to helping you meet your health and fitness goals through CrossFit training and an individualized habit-based Nutrition Coaching program. Our expert coaches get to know YOU the individual, all in a warm and welcoming community environment ideal for all ages and ability levels. We will meet you where you are at. I firmly believe that the CrossFit methodology and philosophy, proper nutrition and strong social connections build confidence, promotes physical and mental well-being and increases stamina in daily life. This makes everyday activities easier and as an added bonus...we look and feel better in our own skin! CUU is THE place for the underdog. It is for me and it is for those of you who have known struggles, continue to struggle or need a place where you are accepted and welcomed as you are. 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
-1/4 cup quaker oats
-1/2 cup original almond milk
-1/2 banana
-1/2 tsp chia seeds
-1/2 cup blueberries
-Pinch cinnamon
-1/2 scoop Ascent vanilla protein powder
-1 tablespoon chopped pecans (OPTIONAL)

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
1. Place all ingredients (except nuts) in jar or bowl and stir
2. Cover and refrigerate overnight
3. Add your chopped pecans and enjoy a simple, healthy, and quick breakfast (chopped pecans not included in the nutrition facts below).

🥱 Why Processed Foods Make You Tired

1. 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿
(especially sugary snacks, white bread, chips, etc.) spike your blood sugar fast.

Your body responds with a surge of insulin, then your blood sugar crashes.

Crash = fatigue, brain fog, irritability.

2. 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Heavily processed foods are often low in essential nutrients like B vitamins, magnesium, and iron that help your body produce energy.

You’re eating calories, but not getting the fuel your body truly needs.

3. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Additives, preservatives, and excess sugar or unhealthy fats can trigger inflammation, which stresses the body and contributes to chronic fatigue.

4. 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵
Processed foods lack fiber and feed the wrong gut bacteria.

A struggling gut microbiome impacts digestion and energy metabolism, and even your mood.

5. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀
Eating too much processed food—especially close to bedtime—can impact sleep quality.

Poor sleep = tired the next day = more cravings = a vicious cycle.

Stick to whole foods and avoid highly processed foods like:

She's hilarious, kind, and brings all sorts of sass to every workout. Always the first to welcome new members and help anyone in need, Lori creates the best kind of shenanigans during class time - never failing to raise our coaches' heart rates! Here we have owner Amy’s BFF’s, Malcolm and Ruby. Malcolm loves to hike and run. Ruby loves wall balls (mostly attacking them).
Another fun fact, Malcolm earned the distinction of Canine Good Citizen🏆in 2022.
