Monty The Therapy Dog had a wonderful day at Wilmington Kennel Club. He and his pals from Great Companions, Rufus & Parfait, trialed in AKC Rally, Master’s class.

This was Monty’s very first time doing Masters and he qualified both rounds. We were not perfect but qualifying is great! He got an 88 and an 85 and I think that is pretty good for the little nugget. 2 Qs towards his Master title!

The club was very nice. It was our first time trialing in Wilmington and we would definitely go back. The judge and all the helpers were so friendly and welcoming as were the participants. Great trial WKC! Thank you!

Barnhunt Saturday at Ice-Bern, Ephrata, PA.

Monty The Therapy Dog had his personal best score today - 80 points! (4 Rats, tunnel and climb).

Tomorrow, Monty is traveling to Wilmington DE for his first attempt at AKC Rally Masters level! Wish him luck…he’s ready!

Monty The Therapy Dog and his girl pal Piper are helping mom, Tracy Gasdik Krapf celebrate her birthday at Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery. They are getting lots of pets and attention.

Monty The Therapy Dog and Tracy Gasdik Krapf had a busy week after their vacation. This past week Monty visited Pathstone Lehighton, Amazon and LVHN Muhlenberg.

We also started the 2026 competition calendar with Barn Hunt at Stonehedge Barn Hunt and Dog Sports Hackettstown NJ.

For those of you not familiar Stonehedge is on the grounds of a working sheep farm and herd dog training facility. There were so many baby lambs today it was fantastic.

BUT…that’s a big but for a reason…. It’s beginning of springtime thaw…so sheep farm was “Mud Bowl 26”! I’m not complaining because Monty always has a good time even in the mud. Thats the whole point of our barn hunt career … Monty having fun!

Today’s first place in Open B not only won him a pretty blue ribbon but also a trip to the tubby. Definitely not his favorite reward 🤣 but he at least smells better and is back to his creamy tan hair. Oy! The ring in the tub was ewe (get it? Sheep)
