MARCH 7!! Rise Up For Spring; CHUMs Night Out ticketed dinner event!! Huge buffet, live and silent auctions, games and prizes, band with great music all evening!! Doors open at 6pm, tickets just $40 for four amazing hours of food and fun!! Volunteers to help from 9am to decorate and help in the kitchen through the event and tear down! Contact Bonnie about Donations of the groceries needed for the event, prizes and auction items 🙂. Contact Bonnie to reserve your tickets at the door!! It is so much fun! Happy New Year!! 2025 came and went with amazing highs and painful sorrowful lows, with fire drills and severe wind damage, extreme heat and sub zero wind chills. All of these and so much more all wrapped around friends and family and Gods grace, love and mercy!
Let’s open our hands and receive 2026 in hope; actively anticipating acts of Gods love, grace, protection and provision! Can’t wait to see you at CHUM this year!

With some last minute help, the Derby finished at $11,856!!!!! 9 of 15 horses made it to $1000 in sponsorships! That is sooo amazing everyone!! Thank you all for playing along!! It was great fun!!
This is the last couple of days of this term and we want to wish you all a very blessed and Merry Christmas and Gods blessings into the new year! We CAN’T run this program without you all! We are thankful for every volunteer, whether it’s in the arena or cleaning stalls or stacking hay or working on the fence line (yikes what a job!) or cutting wood or helping when the farrier visits or feeding when I can’t be here or any of our fun events…. THANK YOU!! Heart of service is a great gift, thank you for sharing your service here!
Thank you everyone who shares their resources through straight donations, tithing, supporting fundraising events, donations of items needed, donations of services, in memorial donations, year end giving and supporting us in grant writing. THANK YOU so very much!!
Most of all, THANK YOU for sharing yourselves and your families with us, for trusting us and for loving on us as we love on you. We believe in each of you and thank God always for you all!

Another Christmas Open House is put away…, another CHUM DERBY, memories for another day! But during the tear down we had several messages from those who wanted to help us get each horse closer to the goal of $1000 per horse!
Bravo and Boon added little, Teresa brought Georgia to her goal, and Miss Mollie put enough in the derby to bring 6 more horses to their goal of $1000! So amazing, these horses have touched us like this! Here is where each horse is at 🙂!

And the horses are still shuffling for position!! Twiz is pouring on the speed again! Closing in on Georgia! But here comes Mackenzie now!! Mackenzie is passing Twiz and Georgia!! Favor is now in the move! Favor is pulling away from them both! He just passed Captain…..and Max!Max is making a run in the group too! Max just took Favors place back and is running neck and neck with Honor! Twiz is not done yet! Twiz just passed Georgia….now Captain! Max has pushed just ahead of Honor! Jack has just crossed the finish line…Penny is second…Bravo is third..Serenity is fourth….Luna in 5th…G is sixth… Max is 7th…Honor is eighth…Favor in ninth….Twiz is tenth…Captain in eleventh…..Mackenzie is 12th…..Georgiais 13th…Chance is 14th as he and Boone in 15th cross the finish line for the 2025 CHUM DERBY!!!

The horses are making their dash for the finish line!! They are nearly at the grandstand! Max has sped up a little closer to Honor. Twiz is trying to g to get closer to Georgia! Oh man! And now Serenity is passing G!! And look! Favor is on the move!! He has just passed Captain! He’s still going… Favor is at Max’s tail…now the shoulder… Favor has passed Max! Penny has moved up a little as has Bravo!! Come on everyone let’s bring them home! 50 minutes left!!

Oh no!! The therapy horses in this years CHUM DERBY seem to be losing steam! They are approaching the Grandstand but are less eager to move forward with gusto! Are they aware we have just about 24 hours before the Derby is over for another year? Are they waiting for you to be a sponsor for one of the therapy horses, to help move them along in this very last segment of this years ‘race’?! Please help energize our horses to finish with a flourish! Give them the energy to move onward to the grandstands with their heads high knowing they have it their all! The race is over tomorrow!

Oh look! Thank you sponsor who helped Bravo in Nella’s name! She would be so pleased! Twiz is no longer behind Mackenzie…. Twiz is now a neck in front of Mackenzie!! Chance has put a little more distance from Boon….haha but they are both just trotting along behind the others!!

It’s coming together thanks to amazing volunteers! Christmas Open House tomorrow from 10-3!! We have reindeer races set up, snowball with Santa, Christmas bean bag toss, pin the nose on Olaf games are coming and a place to write to Santa! We will have Santa with us from 11-2 with photo opportunities as well as pictures with you favorite horse! Gifts for the kids, hot cider and treats, and a Buy It Now Santa Shop! Jeff’s amazing world of Christmas inflatables will be setting up soon! Can’t wait to see you and the kids here at CHUM tomorrow 10-3!!! Welcome in Christmas with us and be here for the CHUM DERBY Big Finish Line!
