BREAKING: Protect Education Equity Bill PASSED!

We are deeply grateful to Speaker Ronald Mariano, Senate President Karen E. Spilka, Chair State Representative Aaron Michlewitz, Chair Michael Rodrigues, House Leader Alice Peisch, House Leader Frank Moran for State Representative of the 17th Essex District, Senator Sal DiDomenico, State Senator Pavel Payano, Conference Committee Members and the MANY staffers who worked incredibly hard to make this happen!

This law is a powerful commitment by the Commonwealth to stand up for the education rights of immigrant students and students with disabilities against attacks from Trump administration on these children. We hope the Governor will quickly sign it into law!

The Autism Support Center was invited to have a resource table at National Night Out in Malden on Tuesday 8/5/25. National Night Out is an annual community- building campaign that promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Amanda Spartichino from the Autism Support Center, Rebecca Oloughlin from the Adult Autism Support Center and Community Resource Specialist Merrie Rothstein were all on hand to answer any questions families had.

On August 7th. 2025 the Band Pick 6, is holding a cruise on the Mahi-Mahi cruise line, out of Salem Harbor right next to the Waterfront Hotel.
The cruise will run from 7:30pm through 9:30pm this will be a night time harbor cruise on the Hanna Glover.

This is a Fundraiser to benefit families/individuals served by the Northeast Arc Autism Support Center.

Boarding starts at 7: 15 PM but please be there on time to avoid boarding issues. There will be snacks, hamburgers, and hotdog, and drinks for purchase on the boat.

The Northeast Arc’s Autism Support Center(ASC) opened in 1991 and has been helping parents and professionals who need assistance finding information and support about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) ever since. The Center is directed by aParent Advisory Committee comprised of parents of children with ASD. The ASC is funded in part by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS). The Autism Support Center empower families affected by ASD by providing current, accurate, and unbiased information about autism,services,referrals,resources, and research trends.
