DOSM surgeons are now utilizing robotic assisted technology to perform total knee replacements. This cutting edge technology is helping the surgeons plan and perform surgery with increased precision.

DOSM surgeons also utilize CT guided pre-operative planning for anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacements and are one of only a few practices in the state of Kentucky offering total ankle replacements.

For people with severe hip arthritis, a total hip replacement can provide significant pain relief and help restore quality of life. Total hip replacements can be performed through an incision from the back (posterior) or from the front (anterior). In recent years, the anterior approach has become increasingly popular due to the reduced risk of dislocation and fewer post-operative precautions. Our surgeons are trained in both techniques and are happy to evaluate you if you suffer from chronic severe hip pain.
