We want to take a moment to share an important update with the families we care for and the communities we serve.

Recently, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital announced the upcoming closure of its inpatient Labor & Delivery services. Following this decision, our Women’s Care of the Commonwealth providers will discontinue obstetrical call coverage at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Please know that our commitment to you has not changed. We will continue providing comprehensive outpatient prenatal and gynecological care. Our experienced team is working closely with each affected patient to ensure a safe, thoughtful transition for hospital deliveries at nearby facilities over the coming weeks.

We understand that changes in maternity services can feel overwhelming, especially during such an important season of life. Our providers and staff are here to walk alongside you, answer your questions, and help you feel confident in your care plan.

We encourage you to read the full statement linked below for complete details and to call our office at 859-236-7712 if you would like to speak with a member of our team. You and your growing family remain at the heart of everything we do.

Due to ongoing weather conditions, we were unable to get the parking lot and sidewalks cleared to a level that would allow us to safely welcome our patients. The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority, and with that in mind, our office will be closed on Tuesday, 1/27/26.

Please stay safe and warm. Our team will be reaching out to reschedule your appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

💜 September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month 💜

Every year, thousands of women are affected by cancers of the reproductive system, including:
• Cervical
• Ovarian
• Uterine (endometrial)
• Vaginal
• Vulvar

✨ Early detection can save lives. Knowing your body, keeping up with routine exams, and talking with your provider about any changes or concerns are powerful steps in protecting your health.

This month, we encourage all women to:
✔️ Stay up to date on annual well-woman visits
✔️ Know the symptoms of gynecologic cancers
✔️ Share awareness with loved ones

Together, we can shine a light on women’s health and support prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment. 💜
