At Central Kentucky Counseling Associates, our mission is to provide convenient, high quality, personalized, and effective mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Our goal is to meet your needs or the needs of your child as quickly as possible. We know your time is valuable, so with us, you will not have to experience long wait times as we make every effort to schedule your initial comprehensive evaluation and begin treatment within 48 hours of your request. We can come to you or your child - whether you prefer in-home or school-based services - and try to make the process as easy as we can for you. We also see clients in our office if you prefer counseling in an office setting. We want to make this process convenient and comfortable for you. Meet Samantha Wilson, LPCC 👇

"I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Masters degree in Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. I have worked in community based agencies, private practice as well as the public school system. I love working with children and their families. I take a client-centered approach to therapy and incorporate tools from a variety of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-CBT, DBT and EMDR. I have a passion for building a positive therapeutic relationship with clients and my goal is to collaborate with you to build the tools and skills you need to reach your full potential and to gain an overall healthier well-being."

‼️WORKSHOP ALERT‼️

Awesome opportunity for those interested!

Consider attending or referring a client to this equine empowered Hold Me Tight(R) workshop, held at the Asbury University Equine Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. This in-person event is designed to help couples strengthen their bond, resolve conflict more effectively, and deepen emotional intimacy. It will guide couples through transformative conversations that foster secure and loving bonds. Lunch will be provided!
This marriage retreat will include: teaching of Hold Me Tight Conversations, experiential hands on learning with horses, and supportive environment by licensed therapist to facilitate the conversations with couples.
Role of the Horse, horses act as mirrors to our own experience, they can give us visual feedback about our own inner worlds, the horse will be incorporate into this workshop to demonstrate attachment, disconnection, and reconnection.
Couples will be given at least three or more opportunities to work hands on with a horse through a structured activity. Horse experience is not required for these activities, all activities will be done on the ground.
Dates/times: Friday, March 14, 6p-9p; Saturday, March 15, 9a-5p; Sunday, March 16, 11a-5p.
Price: $495/couple ($345 before February 1st, $395 before February 28th)
Facilitated by: Elizabeth Guthrie LMFT, Dennis Eames LMFT, Martin W. Bartel MTS-C, Natasha Wakefield RP, Kim Eames LMFTA
This workshop has been approved for 13 CEUs for LMFTs, LMHCs, and LICSWs in Washington state and other approving states. This would be a great way to learn this workshop with your partner, have a weekend of reconnection, and earn CEUs. We are very excited to welcome our newest intern, Alex! She is such a great addition to our team.

A little about Alex: 👇

I graduated with my bachelor's in psychology from Western Kentucky University and a master’s in Sport Psychology from Florida State. I am currently completing my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my time as a sport psychology consultant, I uncovered my passion for helping people enjoy their lives to the fullest, both physically and emotionally. I strive to meet everyone where they are and using a holistic, person-centered approach, I aim to create a safe, judgement free space so everyone can be their most authentic self. My goal is to collaborate with you in our work, and I use Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance Commitment, Mindfulness, and Values-Based techniques to help empower you to enjoy life to the fullest. I believe it is especially courageous to ask for help and that everyone is capable of making changes. I can’t wait to see what we can do together.
