By allowing the body's wisdom to prioritize, it allows the body to make the appropriate long term changes. As a practitioner it is my intent to take a w-holistic approach to your health. With the use of my Zyto scan we can identify your body's stressors and what your body needs to balance those stressors. It really can be as simple as listening to the body. Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow, quiet style of yoga where you hold poses for several minutes at a time, mostly seated or lying down. It may not look intense, but it works deeply into the connective tissues — fascia, ligaments, and joints — areas that don’t get much attention in everyday movement. In simple terms, yin gives your body time to unwind. From a neuroscience perspective, these longer holds gently signal safety to your nervous system. When you stay still and breathe slowly, your body shifts from “fight or flight” (stress mode) into “rest and digest” (healing mode). This activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowers stress hormones like cortisol, and helps regulate emotional centers in the brain like the amygdala. Energetically, people often describe yin as grounding and calming — like plugging yourself back into the earth. It helps you feel steady, centered, and more at home in your body.

Flow Yoga
Flow is a more active, flowing style of yoga where movements are linked together with your breath. You move from one pose to another in a rhythmic way — building strength, flexibility, and balance. Think of it as mindful movement meditation. From a brain science standpoint, the coordination of breath and movement increases communication between the prefrontal cortex (focus and decision-making) and the motor cortex (movement control), improving concentration and body awareness. The steady, intentional breathing also stimulates the vagus nerve, helping regulate your stress response even while you’re moving. Energetically, vinyasa can feel uplifting and empowering — it builds internal heat, increases circulation, and boosts endorphins (your body’s natural mood enhancers). Many people leave feeling clearer mentally, lighter emotionally, and more energized — like they’ve reset both body and mind at the same time.

✨ A Different Kind of New Year ✨

This year isn’t about resolutions.

It’s not about going hard for 30 days and forgetting everything by February.

This year marks 50 years on this planet for me, and if those years have taught me anything, it’s this:
life ebbs and flows — consistency is the real practice.
I’ve come in and out of focus many times. My challenge has always been holding the frequency of consistency as life changes around me.

About 2 months ago, I chose a more sustainable way of living — not a lifetime of restriction, but a 6-month commitment to reset my health, vitality, and mind–body–spirit wellness.
And here’s the truth:
✨ I feel better than I have since my 20s.
✨ That feeling is my motivation.

What this season looks like for me:
• No alcohol
• High-protein meals with healthy fats (yes, meal prep matters)
• Consistent movement — teaching 7 yoga classes a week + adding strength & functional movement
• Supportive therapies: castor oil, essential oils, bodywork, red light therapy, vibration plate
• A conscious, positive mindset rooted in the present moment and future vision

When I turn 50 in April, my intention is to move into a sustainable version of moderation — in food, movement, work, rest, and life itself.

I’m sharing this not for validation, but to create a supportive, uplifting environment for anyone who feels called to change their life — at any age.

Our Story

2019 - Touch of Relief has a refreshed new space.

For those who do not know, I moved my business location a year ago to accommodate my Ayurvedic studies. And there has been personal challenges/opportunities this last year for me to practice what I preach with perception shifts, meditation, etc... also known as self-care.

These challenges have helped me appreciate a little more what we as persons having a human experience feels like. I am greatly looking forward to this upcoming year to fulfill my spirit from the lessons I’ve been learning with more love, more kindness, and a presence of non-judgment.

As of today, I have finished the make-over I have given my company. If you haven’t stopped by in a while, schedule an appointment and come see me. Let me brighten your human experience.
