I wanted to start by sharing a quote from Oprah Winfrey which ties directly into Labor Day…

“The big secret in life is that there is no big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you’re willing to work.”

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

I want to personally honor you for the commitment you have made to contribute and on this very special day, you should take some time to yourself, look in the mirror and be proud, and honor your achievements.

If a scale is stressing you out, put it in the closet. There are a bunch of other ways to track your progress! Try taking selfies in a swimsuit. Use a tape measure to track inches on your waist, arms, and thighs. Or, most simply, pay attention to how your clothes fit!
