We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of our practice, Dr. John Crews!

Dr. Crews brings with him a rich history in optometry, having attended Hampden-Sydney College and earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry (UABSO) in 1985. He went on to complete a residency in Geriatrics and Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Birmingham VA Hospital in 1986.

From 1986 to 2021, Dr. Crews served the Danville community at Dominion Eye Center, later known as Harman Eye Center. Most recently, he returned to UABSO as an adjunct faculty member and Clinical Associate Professor, mentoring future optometrists in the Primary Care and Contact Lens Clinics from August 2022 to June 2025.
