Today we celebrate Stone’s first heavenly birthday with strength and the hope and faith that Stone instilled in all of us.
On behalf of the entire Stompro family, I want to reach out and say thank you for all of the love and support that we have received over the last few months since the loss of our precious son Stone.
The cards, letters, meals, texts, hugs, flowers , calls, visits, attendance at his celebration of life gave us great comfort in a time of need. For those of you who gave us much needed space during this time, we felt your sorrow, condolences and silent prayers. You too, we’re with us.
God is good… life is precious. As life’s sorrows descend upon us, we seek comfort in family, friends, and most of all faith. God grows us stronger through hardship.
As was expressed at Stone‘s celebration of life, a beautiful life is not a perfect life. Stone led a meaningful life and had a true impact on others. Although at times he was lost, he was always seeking the light… A work in progress.
In his last season, Stone was remarkable. A loyal and romantic husband, a present and accepting father, a dutiful son and a loyal brother and friend. His biggest legacy was instilling our family with faith.
As we heal from this loss (never fully), we move forward inspired to manifest Stone’s most impressive qualities: his kindness, patience , gratitude and his love for others and for the Lord. This is Stone’s lasting legacy.
And so we embrace the future with enthusiasm, optimism, energy, dedication, gratitude and a greater sense of purpose, and most of all (thanks to Stone) FAITH and HOPE.
Love,
Brett, Janice, Eve, Star, Trinity, Ashton, Malakai, Bo, Madeleine, Seve (what a blessing to get us through our hardship), Sia, Max, Harlo, Stacy Stompro and the hundreds of other people that Stone came in contact with that he considered family.
