Last week, several of our Nurture Nest therapists had the opportunity to attend the 33rd Annual Kentucky Association for Play Therapy Conference in Louisville, KY!

We are so proud of Hannah Phelps, Kaleena Ge**er, Brittany Rose, Candice Charles, Cindy Keele, and Rebecca Patterson for investing in their growth and expanding their knowledge in neuroscience and polyvagal theory in Play Therapy.

At Nurture Nest, we are deeply committed to providing the highest level of training and professional development for our therapists and play therapists. This ensures that we continue to offer the most effective, research-informed care to the children, families, and individuals we serve every day.

Today we are celebrating Hannah Phelps, LPCA, in our Somerset office! Hannah has a true heart for working with children and families, and her compassion and dedication shine through in the care she provides every day. 💛

Hannah is currently working toward earning her Play Therapy credential, and we are so proud that she was honored by the Kentucky Association for Play Therapy as the 2025 Passionate Play Therapy Student of the Year! What a well-deserved recognition of her passion for helping children heal through play.

Hannah is such a valuable part of our Nurture Nest team, and we are grateful for the warmth, energy, and heart she brings to our Nest each day.

🪺 Welcome to Our Nest, Candice Charles, CSW! 🌿

We are so excited to officially welcome Candice Charles, CSW into her new role as a part-time therapist at our Danville location!

Candice is no stranger to Nurture Nest — she’s been a beloved part of our team for the past two years as a Targeted Case Manager, and we’re thrilled to see her grow into this next chapter of care.

Now a licensed Certified Social Worker (CSW), Candice is bringing her passion for children’s mental health into the therapy space, where she is already making magic happen! ✨

She has availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and specializes in working with children ages 3 to 12. Using engaging Play Therapy techniques, Candice helps children explore their feelings, process their experiences, and build stronger emotional tools — all from the comfort of the cutest office ever designed just for them! 🧸🎨
