At Nurture Nest Play Therapy and Counseling Center, we believe caring for yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give your mind and bodyโespecially during the holidays.
Here are a few Holiday Self-Care Tips from Penelope & the Nurture Nest team:

Even a 3โ5 minute break can help regulate your nervous system. Step outside, stretch, breathe deeply, or enjoy a quiet moment.

Itโs okay to say โno.โ Protect your energy so you can show up fully for the moments that matter most.
โจ Create a Cozy Moment
Sip something warm, wrap in a blanket, light a candle, or read a favorite book. Comfort counts.
โจ Keep a Consistent Routine
Sleep, meals, and movement help children and adults feel grounded during busy schedules.
โจ Play Together
Whether itโs a game, art, or imaginative playโconnection through play boosts co-regulation and reduces stress for families.
