Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes

Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes We are a family owned firm with over 90 years of experience offering excellent services to Danville and surrounding areas. Wrenn and C. C.

In 1935, the brand new Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Home was the only funeral establishment in North Danville. Starting the business in rented quarters, partners Jack H. Yeatts offered both funeral and ambulance services, which were fairly common at the time. Shortly after starting the business, the partners acquired a stately residence on the corner of Baugh and North Main Streets and converted it into one of the finest funeral homes in Virginia. Later, they acquired and remodeled another residence on North Main Street, creating the first complete funeral chapel in Danville. As a result of the caring, compassionate service the funeral home provided to the families of Danville, the business continued to grow, constructing a new facility in Westover Hills in 1986. The Westover Chapel is located near Danville Memorial Gardens and the Route 58 West bypass, which allows easy access from all areas of Danville, Pittsylvania County, Rockingham County, NC and Caswell County, NC. In 2000, a crematory was added at the Westover Chapel in order to provide more personalized services to our families requesting cremation. Your loved one never leaves our care. Late 2010 brought more changes to the Wrenn-Yeatts family as the former Marley Funeral Home property was acquired in Yanceyville, North Carolina. In early 2011, the new Wrenn-Yeatts Memorial Funeral Home opened, providing the same quality funeral and cremation services to the citizens of Yanceyville and Caswell County. Today, the Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes & Crematory are still locally owned and operated by Ryland and Scott Bennett, Jimmie Williams, and Keister Whitt, who dedicate themselves to maintaining and preserving the proud tradition of service that was started over 75 years ago. We also believe that when you see our facilities that you can rest assured that the owners are right inside and we support our community by dealing with our friends and local businesses whenever possible. You knew your loved one better than anyone else. We’ve got years of experience. Together, we’ll design the perfect memorial or funeral service for your loved one.

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. –Psalm 40:1—2

When experiencing a loss, it's helpful to have a few ideas that help to feel better right away. Here are a few tips.
1. Address stress. Unfortunately, stress accompanies grief. Pause, take a few breaths, stand up, touch your toes, and see what stresses can be let go today.
2. Text, call, email a friend and share feelings. Does that seem too hard? Instead ask them how they are feeling, what’s new in their lives. Reaching out to a good friend, even the smallest, friendliest act, can lighten a mood.
3. Write a loved one a letter. Even without sharing the letter with anyone, just writing it can help to work through grief.
