A lot of people are feeling anxious this weekend. Thought I’d share my morning prayer if it helps anyone. It always is helpful to me. This is from Barbara Gibson. I found it on Insight Timer. God, be with me today
In everything I do and everything I say.

Walk with me, talk with me.
Show me the way you would have me to go.

Help me recognize my power and use it honorably
For the good of all.

Help me remember my connection to all human beings,
To stay connected to our shared desire to be happy
and free from suffering,

Let me see clearly so that I recognize when I cause harm
to myself or others
And help me make my wrongs right.

Fill me with the courage and compassion I need
to move beyond wishing and waiting for change
to acting thoughtfully for change.

May I keep my heart open and go forward with hope.

May I notice the abundant gifts and kindness all around.

May all beings everywhere know peace.

It was an honor to help my friend and colleague Daniel Amen celebrate 35 years since he founded the Amen Clinics. I was his first employee 35 years ago, so it felt quite fitting to be there at his new office in Newport Beach. He truly is an amazing example of someone who is living on purpose and challenging how we think about mental health so people aren’t stigmatized by the labels.
