It take a lot of hard work and sacrifice to become an optometrist. It’s also incredibly rewarding to take care of our patient’s precious eyesight. 😍
Just this past week our doctors were able to:
👁️Help a patient get diagnosed with a carotid artery blockage
👁️Comfort a child during her first eye exam
👁️Discover a subtle eye muscle imbalance that has kept a patient from reading comfortably for years
👁️Hug a patient who just lost his spouse
👁️Advise a patient on their best insurance options after retirement
👁️Encourage our bright, talented new technicians
👁️Advocate for our patients by personally calling insurance companies, pharmacies and referring physicians so that our patients get the care they deserve

I am so blessed to work with so many women that are strong, compassionate and capable. They make everyday better for me and so many others! 💐

And then they return home to manage their families as women are the cornerstone of family life. 🌸

🌴Spring break tips🏖️
1. Do not sleep in contact lenses, especially if you have been swimming in any kind of water source due to increase risk of some serious corneal
Infections
2. Daily replacement is a safer option as you throw them away at the end of the day and start with a fresh pair the following. We can Rx 1 month worth of dailies if you just want them for vacations while you wear extended replacement lenses the rest of the year
3. Always pack back up pairs of lenses
4. Bring your back up glasses
5. Not all cl brands provide UV protection. Bring your polarized sungasses with a strap. Dr Allen’s husband has too many pairs of sunglasses at the bottom of several lakes 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄
6. Kids need sunglasses too
