He said YES to the address!

Meet Robert C., one of our newer tenants at Liberty Estates.

Robert is a retired nurse who worked for the VA Illiana Healthcare System.

He is an Army veteran where he served two years in Germany.

He said he was a trained medic having trained in both San Antonia, California and Fort Sam in Houston Texas.

Robert grew up in southern Indiana and joined the Army after graduating high school.

When asked what brought him to the Danville area, Robert said “the job opportunity at the VA and also the chance to live near my sister who resides in Bismarck.”

He was previously married and has one son who is an attorney in Indiana and a daughter who lives in Minneapolis and works in marketing.

When asked what he enjoys about living at Liberty Estates, Robert said, “I enjoy the people and the staff. There is always something to do. I also like not having to fix my own meals.”

We love having Robert as part of our Liberty Village of Danville family!

Please help us welcome our most recent Assisted Living resident, Bonnie S.

Bonnie is a true testimony to someone who utilized our continuum of care at Liberty Village of Danville.

She started out as a villa owner along with her husband, moved to Liberty Estates for several years, and has now made the transition to Hawthorne Inn
A/L. She has also utilized our Bounce Back Program.

When asked how she feels about her most recent move, Bonnie said, “I knew it was time for me to make this move. I have the help I need but just like living at Liberty Estates, I have so many opportunities for activities, going to the hair salon, working out at AJ’s Fitness Center and I’ve already made new friends.”

We are thrilled to have Bonnie as part of our family!

A new program implemented proved to be very successful!

Yesterday we had our first Meet and Greet for newer tenants at Liberty Estates.

We learned a little about each tenant, and informed them about the many options available to them on our campus. This gave them one on one time with each other and our staff.

Is it even a celebration if you don’t have a few chickens celebrate you on your birthday?
Shirley T. was so happy to have these cuties visit her today.

Rosie, Sweet Pea and Cloonee (all named after flowers and all 5 years old) were a fun surprise for Shirley.

Tia, one of our CNA’s, brought her chickens to surprise Shirley as they often “talk chicken together.”
Tia said all of these chickens have won Blue Ribbons and she often takes them to shows.

We think Shirley willl never forget this birthday!

Having fun at 91!

Today Norma J. is celebrating her special day with friends at Liberty Estates.

This former Physical Education teacher and Drivers Education instructor said that staying active is key to feeling good.
