For 87 years, the Montour County Historical Society has been a part of this community, operated entirely by volunteers and fueled by curiosity, stories, and shared history.

In our spaces, we have had:
📚 Authors joining us for special events
🎖️ Scouts earning badges while volunteering
🔍 Individuals researching their family histories
🌎 Visitors from across the country and right here at home

History is not just preserved here; it is experienced, discovered, and shared.

This morning, we’re kicking things off with press interviews—sharing what’s ahead, what’s new, and why preserving Montour County’s story matters more than ever.

From the Montgomery House to the Boyd House, we’re preparing to welcome you back for another season of history, stories, and discovery.
