❄️ Winter Storm Reminder: Don’t Forget to Hydrate!
With the winter storm heading our way, most of us are thinking about snow, travel, and staying warm but hydration is something people often overlook in cold weather.
Even in freezing temperatures, your body is still losing fluids through breathing, daily movement, and dry indoor heat. Cold air and home heating systems can be especially drying, and you may not feel as thirsty as you normally would.
Mild dehydration can sometimes leave you feeling:
• More tired than usual
• Headachy
• Foggy or unfocused
• Dry skin and lips
As we settle in during the storm, try to:
💧 Sip fluids consistently throughout the day
🍵 Include warm drinks like herbal tea or broth
🏠 Use a humidifier if your home air feels very dry
🧂 Consider electrolyte drinks if you’re very active (like shoveling)
Taking care of the basics: rest, nutrition, and hydration, helps support overall wellness during weather like this. Stay safe and stay warm everyone 🤍
