He is fellowship trained in MOHS surgery, reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. He also has training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He was the Director of the Division of Dermatologic Surgery at Stanford University and Associate Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of

Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery and Reconstruction, and the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr, Gladstone has served on Board of Directors of the California Division of the American Cancer Society. He has served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Dermatology Society, and is a past President. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Dermatology Association, and is a past President. He has also served as the Chair of the Sulzberger Foundation. Dr Gladstone has given over 300 lectures and has been invited to give named lectures around the world. Most recently, he was the keynote speaker (The Zen of Combining Human Potential and Disruptive Technology to Advance Global Dermatologic Surgery) at the Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery International League Annual meeting and the South African National Skin Cancer Congress in Sun City, South Africa. He has directed numerous regional, national and international courses on dermatologic surgery, cosmetic surgery and reconstruction. He is the Director of the 2015 Annual American Society of Dermatologic Surgery National Meeting. He has authored 100 publications including 30 chapters and 1 textbook on cosmetic dermatologic procedures. Dr Gladstone volunteered on a regular basis at the Arbor Free Clinic in Menlo Park for 11 years, and is the co-founder and President of Blade and Light International (www.bladelight.org) which sends volunteer teams abroad to teach and perform MOHS surgery and reconstruction to under-served populations. In his spare time, Dr. Gladstone enjoys alpine skiing, playing squash and tennis, the classical guitar, photography and writing short stories.
