Today we had the honor of celebrating Mr. and Mrs. Furr and their incredible 62nd wedding anniversary! We are so blessed to have this wonderful couple with us each day here at Piney. Their love, kindness, and the way they support one another is truly something special to witness.

As the saying goes, “Love isn’t just something you feel, it’s something you do every single day.” Mr. and Mrs. Furr are a beautiful reminder that when love and support fill the air, a lifetime together becomes the greatest story of all.

Happy 62nd Anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Furr! Thank you for letting us be a small part of such a beautiful journey. ❤️

🔧 Happy National Maintenance Day! 🔧

Today we are proud to recognize our amazing maintenance team, Kerry Goard and David Richardson.

These two go above and beyond every single day to ensure our facility remains safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. No matter the task, big or small, they handle it with dedication, skill, and a positive attitude.

Because of their hard work behind the scenes, our staff can focus on providing excellent care, our families feel confident in the environment, and our residents have a safe place to call home.

Kerry and David, we truly appreciate everything you do for our staff, families, and residents. Thank you for all that you do today and every day! 🦖🦕

Showing appreciation to staff is one of the most important ways to build a positive, supportive work culture. When team members feel valued, recognized, and respected, it strengthens morale, encourages teamwork, and enhances the care and service we provide every single day. A simple “thank you” can go a long way — but genuine appreciation goes even further. It reminds our staff that their hard work, long hours, compassion, and dedication truly matter.

In a field where the days can be long and the work can be challenging, our team continues to show up with professionalism, heart, and commitment. From first shift to second shift to our incredible third shift team, each department and every role plays a vital part in our success. While many are asleep, our 3rd shift employees are hard at work — providing compassionate care, ensuring safety, and keeping everything running smoothly through the quiet hours.

We cannot wait to celebrate our 3rd shift employees this Friday as a small token of our appreciation! But today and every day, we are thankful for all of our hardworking staff.

Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you for the care you provide, the teamwork you demonstrate, and the difference you make in the lives of others every single day. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. 💙 🦖🦕

Black History Month Celebrations and Book Reading program in February was enjoyed by our residents, staff, and visitors on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.❤️

It was a beautiful program honoring members from the City of Danville who have given so much through the years to our city to make our lives better every day😊. Mayor Alonzo Jones, City Councilman Bryant Hood, Danville School Board member Tyrell Payne, and Fire Chief Shelby Irving.

Piney Forest also celebrated one of our patients who just became an author of her own book! Constance Covington, aka ✨Grandma Connie✨. "The Cookie That Saved the Day", a sweet story about having patience. We also enjoyed some delicious fresh baked cookies!
